Gangs of bandits attack an industrial zone

Several residents of Source Matelas were killed yesterday during an attack by Canaanite and Titanyen bandits. There is no count of the dead and injured, but the Casec of the area confirms numerous deaths.

During the offensive, the bandits also set fire to a number of homes.
The bandits, allies of the Village of God gang, want to take control of the Lafiteau area, which is home to Source Matelas.

This industrial zone is home to several large corporations, including Haiti’s Moulins, the National Cimentery (Cina), the Port of Lafiteau, and a sugar company. The bandits want to take over the region, but the residents have been fighting back since January.

Ariel Henry, now open to dialogue, issues a call to calm.

Ariel Henry, the prime minister, does not appear to be giving in to popular pressures sparked by his government’s decision to raise fuel prices. Ariel Henry, during his address to the nation on September 18th, makes an ear to the people’s cries while camping on his position. He calls for calm and asks that the barricades be removed.

Nothing, according to Ariel Henry, can justify these excesses. “The adjustment to the increase does not justify the numerous degats recorded during these days,” declared the prime minister, who added that the demonstrations were led by gang leaders.

The prime minister emphasized that the money collected for oil prices will be used to boost national production, fund school canteen programs, establish more community restaurants, and launch job-creation initiatives in 571 community areas.

The United States strongly condemns “violent, pillaging, and destruction” and encourages dialogue.

The United States condemns “firmly” recent acts of violence, pillage, and destruction in the country and encourages dialogue. They recognize, however, that the right to assemble and demonstrate is essential in any democracy.

In a statement issued on the recent civil unrest in Haiti, the US Embassy in Port-au-Prince condemns “firmly the acts of violence, pillage, and destruction perpetrated recently in Haiti, as well as those who have caused these events for their own ends.”

Growing number of looting scenes in Port-au-Prince

Police officers are on high alert to prevent the spread of pillaging scenes in the Port-au-Prince metropolitan area and surrounding towns.

The order forces have shown restraint in their intervention to avoid mishaps. When it comes to pillaging, police use lacrymogen gas to force criminals to end their contracts. In some cases, police officers have been compromised. This happened in Delmas, Port-au-Prince, and Gonaives, among other places.

Caritas, PAM, and Care are among the organizations that have been looted in the Gonaives. Before the arrival of the cops, the demonstrators had completely dispersed. In response to the intervention of law enforcement, the Care Depot was set ablaze.

The roads in the Port-au-Prince metropolitan area are still closed as of Friday, September 16, 2022.
Even though some roads were opened yesterday, particularly in Pétionville, massive barricades remain in several neighborhoods.

All roads in the capital’s south are closed, and even motorcycles are barred from entering the Carrefour-Feuilles, Fontamarra, and Bolosse neighborhoods.
Vehicles are used to block roadblocks.
Even the National Palace is inaccessible due to tons of immondices and stones clogging the roads.

Many citizens walked their way through the barricades.

This morning, automatic gunshots were heard in the upper Delmas neighborhoods.

At the White House, Haiti is the focal point of a meeting between Luis Abinader and Kamala Harris.

The Dominican President, Luis Abinader, will meet with US Vice President Kamala Harris in Washington on September 14 to discuss the Haiti crisis, among other things.

The two leaders are scheduled to meet at the White House in the United States, where they will continue their discussions that began at the IX Summit of the Americas on June 9th in Los Angeles.

Luis Abinader and Kamala Harris will meet for nearly four hours on September 14th to discuss a variety of issues, including the situation in Haiti, which, according to the Dominican president, is a threat to the Dominican Republic.

The clip “Nou preske pa moun anko,” a biography of a chaotic society, was released.

The first images of the clip “Nou preske pa moun anko” show Richard Cavé in conversation with various layers of Haitian society. The video focuses on young people who are constantly fleeing the country, schoolchildren whose future is increasingly jeopardized… It is a biography of the current state of the country, in which Haitians are adapting to an unlivable reality that conceals the heart of a people who were once kings of conviviality.

When Richard begins the chorus part, which states: “Nou fémen je n pou n pa wè – Nou fémen kè n pou n pa wont – Manti n ap bay tèt nou,” this man is the typical incarnation of the politicians who run the country, cold, cynical, without qualms…

Hati is sick, and there are no miracle doctors who will cure the cancer that has plagued the country for decades. No, it is more important to consider the derivations, and each Haitian must ultimately decide to leave behind the barricades such as Twitter, Facebook, or even Instagram in order to get to the heart of the reality and then return to sell the image of Haiti before other people come to do tourism.
