Growing number of looting scenes in Port-au-Prince

Police officers are on high alert to prevent the spread of pillaging scenes in the Port-au-Prince metropolitan area and surrounding towns.

The order forces have shown restraint in their intervention to avoid mishaps. When it comes to pillaging, police use lacrymogen gas to force criminals to end their contracts. In some cases, police officers have been compromised. This happened in Delmas, Port-au-Prince, and Gonaives, among other places.

Caritas, PAM, and Care are among the organizations that have been looted in the Gonaives. Before the arrival of the cops, the demonstrators had completely dispersed. In response to the intervention of law enforcement, the Care Depot was set ablaze.
