“Quatre players from the national team, Jhony Placide, Alex Christian Junior, Canejy Antoine, and Martin Experience, were unable to board an airplane on Sunday, June 13, 2021, bound for Chicago (United States) to play the rematch against Canada on Tuesday, June 15,” according to the Fédération Hatienne de Football’s Facebook page.

The FHF cites the following reasons as to why the four Grenadiers were unable to complete their journey: “Returned from Europe, they lack sufficient time (14 days) to enter the country of “Tonton Sam.”

The good news is that the Grenadiers’ captain, Johnny Placide, and two other Grenadiers will go to Chicago, according to the Fédération Hatienne de Football’s communication cell.

We recall that on Saturday, June 12th, at the Sylvio Cator Stadium, Canada won the first half (1-0), and Haiti is required to win by two goals to create a new advantage against the Canadians and secure their place in the FIFA World Cup octogonal final, Qatar 2022, zone Concacaf.
